Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to support the Project Team in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) for a Data Center project.

The role reports to the Project Safety Manager and collaborates across safety leadership and project teams. The position involves coaching on safety, facilitating trainings, and participating in incident investigations at a Los Lunas, NM work site.

Qualifications

• Understanding of electrical industry consensus standards (NFPA, NESC, ASTM, ANSI).
• Bi-lingual desired.
• Experience with union workforce desired.
• Organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation of the effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks and log observations in the indicator system.
• Support safety team in project-specific corrective action plans to address safety issues.
• Provide feedback to Safety leadership on areas for improvement and recognition.
• Assist with coaching to employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors and recognizing safe behavior.
• Assist with site-specific safety orientations for new employees.
