Job summary

NREP is seeking a Safety Specialist for a major data center project in Rock Hill, SC, within the Charlotte Metro Area. This permanent role focuses on maintaining high safety standards and driving proactive safety culture on site.

You will work with leadership, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure regulatory compliance and strong safety performance, with long-term progression opportunities in a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• OSHA 30 required; ASP/CSP or similar certification preferred.
• Construction safety knowledge and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work with field teams and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of site health and safety programmes.
• Partner with project leadership and field teams to maintain high safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
• Assist incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks and employee coaching.
• Build relationships with employees, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Monitor safety performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the project.
