Confidential, a leading American contractor, seeks a Safety Specialist to support a major data center project in Rock Hill, South Carolina within the Charlotte metro area. The role emphasizes strong safety standards and proactive culture on site.

The ideal candidate will partner with project leadership and field teams to drive safety performance, conduct inspections, and lead investigations while seeking long‑term progression within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of EHS/Safety experience within construction.
• OSHA 30 required; ASP, CSP, or similar certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of site health and safety programmes.
• Partner with project leadership and field teams to maintain high safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
• Assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and employee coaching.
• Build strong relationships with employees, subcontractors, and project leadership.
• Monitor safety performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across the project.
