Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Health and Safety Manager for Data Center Health and Safety in Sterling, VA.

The role focuses on owning and improving the health and safety function across data centers, collaborating with engineers, security, operations, and compliance to drive a strong safety culture and reduce risk. You will partner with construction managers to identify and mitigate risks prior to live operations, while supporting a fast-paced, changing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of global environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Experience owning projects and communicating timelines independently.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• 3+ years of risk management or safety management in high-hazard environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety standards, policies, training, risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct health and safety audits of data centers and construction sites for compliance.
• Ensure global health and safety programs meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
• Develop health and safety plans for on-site emergencies and business continuity.
• Maintain safety records and data integrity.
