Job summary

AWS Real Estate Team in Austin, TX seeks an experienced professional to source, negotiate and execute large-scale data center real estate deals. You will collaborate with landowners, developers, PE firms and local authorities to navigate entitlements and development opportunities.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Legal, Design Engineering, Economic Development and Construction to shape site plans, budgets, and schedules while aligning with AWS growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Experience advising and influencing executive leadership.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal sourcing, engagement, negotiation and execution of real estate deals, including land acquisition and leases.
• Inform a regional real estate development strategy with cross-functional teams (Legal, Design Engineering, Economic Development, Public Policy, Construction and Capacity Planning).
• Lead entitlement process and jurisdictional engagement for transactions.
• Develop site plans that deliver best-in-class product aligned with market conditions and investment assumptions.
• Develop project schedules, development budgets, and track costs across hard and soft costs.
• Lead teams of vendors, consultants, and contractors to support acquisition, entitlements and delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AWS's internal processes and reporting.
• Travel required.
