Staff Management | SMX is hiring a Construction Project Controls Scheduler in Chester, VA. The role leads scheduling on electrical data center projects, collaborates with the project team, and develops detailed schedules with trade partners to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of electrical scheduling/PM experience, proficiency in MS Project and P6, and strong Excel/Word skills. This direct-hire position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $97,000 and comprehensive

Qualifications

3 years' electrical (industrial or commercial) construction scheduling and PM experience.
Proficient in MS Project and P6 with ability to produce detailed schedules.
Thorough knowledge of construction disciplines.
Data Center experience preferred; Electrical Field experience not required but helpful.
Proficient in Excel and Word; strong communication and analytical skills.
Must pass pre-employment background check and MVR if driving is required.

Responsibilities

Serve as Scheduling Lead on electrical data center projects, handling scheduling and reporting.
Analyze project information and prepare docs to enable efficient planning and scheduling.
Develop detailed schedules with project team and trade partners.
Input, analyze, and monitor design deliverables, procurement, and construction schedules.
Oversee all scheduling activities and provide status updates, forecasts, and reports.
Review schedule updates and changes; produce impact reports on finances and delays.
Work on-site with project and design teams.
