Job summary

MGAC is seeking a mid-to-senior Data Center Construction Project Manager (Low Voltage) to lead on-site activities in Lima, OH within the Critical Environments team. The role emphasizes owner’s representative duties across design, cost, and schedule to drive complex data-center projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years PM experience in construction and 2+ years in critical environments, with a background in telecom/LV and MEP in ground-up builds. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or equivalent in construction-related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience managing critical environment construction (data centers, labs, hospitals).
• 4+ years of project management in telecommunications, low-voltage and fiber optics construction.
• MEP experience in ground-up construction.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage the full scope of projects while coordinating with other teams.
• Mentor and lead teams, overseeing schedule, scope, and budget.
• Lead project risk management, contingency planning, and schedule/budget recovery.
• Deliver on the client’s vision as a trusted partner.
• Manage design platforms (Autodesk/Procore), file structure, schedules, QA/QC.
• Lead design coordination across partners and EORs; ensure clear information sharing.
• Oversee design-related construction administration (A&E meetings, submittals, site walks, mock-ups, coordination).
• Support change management, cost impact reviews, and design integration with PM/CM and A&E partners.
• Ensure timely invoicing and identify add-services opportunities.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with clients, A&E, contractors/vendors; anticipate risks and resolve conflicts.
• Conduct requirements gathering and needs assessments.
• Contribute to expanding the Critical Environments pipeline.
