Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex data center projects for clients nationwide. Based in any CDM Smith office with hybrid work options.

The role focuses on scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across phases of infrastructure delivery. You will manage design-build/EPC projects, oversee due diligence, site selection, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is required.
• 7+ years of experience managing design/construction projects.
• PMP certification required within 12 months.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of data center projects and programs for major U.S. clients.
• Head cross-functional teams to plan scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee concept through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, closeout.
• Coordinate with engineers, constructors, vendors, and clients.
• Manage forecasting, invoicing, earned value, and risk.
• Mentor multi-disciplinary teams and promote collaboration.
• Coordinate with specialists to resolve complex integration issues (BMS/EPMS).
• Implement project controls, quality, and H&S compliance.
• Ensure client satisfaction and repeat business through proactive communication.
• Lead client-facing delivery meetings and manage expectations.
