Job summary

Black & Veatch, an employee-owned leader in sustainable infrastructure, is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to oversee medium to large data center development and detailed design projects in Dallas, TX and other client sites.

You will manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction, staff project teams, and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and startup activities with internal and third‑party partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data center industry.
• Contract negotiation skills and knowledge of terms and pricing.
• Ability to lead multi-discipline teams and mentor professionals.
• Good communication of expectations, goals, and vision.
• Experience in Data Center Design Building, GMP, and Lump Sum is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of medium to large data center development and detailed design projects.
• Oversee day-to-day project scope execution including performance, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Staff the project successfully.
• Lead small to medium teams of multi-disciplinary professionals.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and startup activities with third parties.
