Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead medium to large center development and detailed design projects across engineering, procurement, construction, and startup domains. The role involves risk and opportunity management, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

You will staff projects, run multi-disciplinary teams, and coordinate activities with third-party contributors.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience in the data center industry.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Contract negotiation skills including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing and payment terms.
Team development, mentoring and coaching professionals; promote diversity and inclusion.
Clear communication of expectations, goals, and vision.

Responsibilities

Project Complexity: manage medium to large engineering projects across multiple clients or partners.
Project Execution: lead projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closeout.
Client Management: maintain relationships and identify client interests and drivers.
Business Development: assist with estimates and proposals, client presentations, and contract negotiations.
Risk: identify, assess, and manage risks related to design, schedule, change, and quality.
