Carter Machinery Co. Inc. in Atlanta is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead technical execution of Power Systems sales orders, ensuring project specifications are met and gross profit optimized while delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in industrial/electrical power generation project management, strong communication, leadership, and the ability to travel as needed; a college degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' industrial/electrical power generation systems equipment project management experience
• Strong proficiency with MS Office and enterprise software tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task while maintaining organization and detail
• Experience in coordinating with contractors, engineers and vendors

Job Title: Data Center Project Manager

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Starting Compensation Range: $90,000 to $105,000 per year

The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for providing the technical knowledge and comprehensive management needed to execute Power Systems sales orders per project specifications in a manner that achieves maximum gross profit while promoting the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements for the Data Center Project Manager position include:

• Basic knowledge of the following: BAS/BMS communication, Protective relaying, Breaker design and functionality, Modbus/Ethernet communication, Generator paralleling, Diesel engine operating requirements/room design, Fuel and Cooling systems, Emissions regulations and testing, applicable electrical and regulatory codes
• Functional competency on all associated software and operating systems, including Word, Excel, EBMS, Sales Force, DBS, Cat PowerNet, SIS-WEB, PSQ, Lotus Notes, EOMP, AutoCAD and Adobe Standard
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter able to work with limited supervision
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, required
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork
• Must be able to multi-task while maintaining organized and detailed
• Experience in conflict resolution with contractors, consultants, engineers, vendors, utility companies, end-users, etc.
• Able to travel and work hours required for job and customer demand
• Must have an excellent driving record

Seeking Candidates with:

• Minimum two years' industrial/electrical power generation systems equipment project management experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• College degree in related field, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
