Job summary

Metric DCX in Herndon, VA, is seeking a Project Executive to lead large-scale data center construction from preconstruction through closeout. You will own the schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction while coordinating with preconstruction, project management, and field teams.

The ideal candidate brings 12–20+ years of GC experience with data center or mission-critical projects, a track record of delivering complex programs, and the ability to mentor senior project staff.

Qualifications

• 12–20+ years of construction experience, including data center/mission-critical projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex, large-scale GC projects.
• Experience leading multiple project teams and senior staff.
• Strong knowledge of MEP, structural, and civil construction.
• Demonstrated ownership of project financials, schedules, and client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own project performance from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead project strategy across budget, schedule, quality, safety, and profitability.
• Partner with preconstruction, project management, and field teams to drive successful execution.
• Lead senior-level relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Oversee project financials, forecasting, risk, and overall commercial performance.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams.
• Resolve major project issues and drive accountability across the team.
