Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead delivery of complex, mission-critical data center projects for clients nationwide. This role focuses on managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across all phases of infrastructure delivery.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in design-build or EPC project delivery for data centers, including power, water, networking, and civil site development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing design and/or construction projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• PMP certification required (within 12 months of hire or promotion).
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of data center projects and programs, serving as the primary ear for day-to-day execution with major clients in the U.S.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee projects from early concept through detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Coordinate with engineering, constructors, vendors, and client stakeholders for on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Manage project financial performance including forecasting, invoicing, earned value, and risk/opportunity escalation.
• Mentor multi-disciplinary project teams to promote collaboration and accountability.
• Resolve complex integration issues with BMS and EPMS systems with engineering teams.
• Implement project controls, quality management, and H&S requirements; ensure standards are met.
• Support client satisfaction and repeat work through proactive status communication and deliverables meeting contracts.
• Lead client-facing delivery teams and manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk for complex capital projects.
