Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Project/Field Engineer to support a large data center project near Alexandria, LA. The role collaborates with Project Managers and Superintendents to review, analyze, and resolve field construction issues and to develop reports, schedules, and analyses for assigned scopes.

The position requires strong communication and analytical skills, safety leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• History of experience with design, estimating, or field supervision preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and recognize building plans and specifications and safety standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Prolog.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for safety within an incident‑free culture.
• Interpret plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors and supervisors; review shop drawings.
• Verify exterior/interior grade and working lines for contractors; monitor field orders and change orders.
• Review time sheets and update project metrics, progress, and prices.
• Collaborate with project team to prepare bid packages, estimates, change orders, and punch lists.
• Assist with pre-bid conferences, pre-final punch lists, and payment requests.
