Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for the Data Center market to support projects in Atlanta, GA or Columbus, OH. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, and coordinating activities across design and construction teams.

You will develop scope, schedule, and cost estimates, monitor progress, and communicate with clients and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality data center facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience.
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and e-mail.
• Familiarity with scheduling applications and QMS programs.
• Energetic, self-motivated team player committed to collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor job progress using the QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting.
• Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates and bid solicitations.
• Research options and regulatory information as required.
• Purchase and coordinate delivery of materials ensuring price, quality and conformance.
• Review invoices and change orders; negotiate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Review shop drawings and relocate to job sites as needed; attend weekly meetings.
• Prepare reports on project status and maintain project files for workflow continuity.
• Communicate with customers, consultants and subcontractors on projects.
