Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services, located in New Albany, OH, is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join a construction-focused team responsible for on-site coordination, design changes, and delivery of data center projects.

You will work daily on construction sites with general contractors and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery while coordinating RFIs, change orders, and documentation. A background in data center engineering and strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years in a data center or other critical environment.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Developing and maintaining tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders.
• Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness and risk.
• Managing vendor onboarding, including security credentialing.
• Maintaining project management software with milestone updates and document control.
• Coordinating owner-furnished material deliveries to job sites.
• Establishing a centralized repository for contractor data.
• Overseeing QA programs, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
