Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join the onsite Construction Management team. You will coordinate across general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to support the delivery of data center construction projects.

You will manage documentation, RFIs, MOPs, and change orders while ensuring safety, quality, and timely milestones on-site. The role requires US citizenship and involves close collaboration with operations, networking, controls, security,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of relevant experience, OR 7+ years in lieu of degree.
4+ years of relevant experience in constructing and managing complex MEP systems.
4+ years of experience managing general contractors and vendors, including RFPs, bidding, change orders, QC, and RFI tracking.

Responsibilities

Establish communication across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFIs, and change orders with regional leadership review.
Review MOPs for detail, necessity, and risk.
On-board new vendors for badging and orientation.
Update project management software with milestones, correspondence, and documents.
Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site.
Compile and store construction data from vendors.
Manage checklists including safety and quality.
