Job summary

Probst Electric Inc., a Dallas-based subsidiary of Quanta Services, seeks an experienced Project Controller to oversee budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting for large data center construction projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Finance teams to ensure financial discipline and project success.

The role emphasizes contract management, risk mitigation, and timely financial communication, with opportunities for growth within a national utility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field.
• MBA, MFPA, or advanced financial certifications preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in project accounting, construction finance, or project cost control.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with high-voltage transmission & distribution construction projects is a plus.
• Proficiency in JDE, SAP, or other financial management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets with detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Lead forecasting efforts in coordination with Project Managers and Construction Managers.
• Monitor actual costs against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Track and report cost drivers affecting financial performance.
• Review and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors; process change orders and ensure timely invoicing.
