Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Predevelopment Project Specialist to support upfront diligence, budgeting, and program updates for data center projects. You will collaborate with Corporate Real Estate, Development, Engineering and Operations to ensure timely delivery of predevelopment milestones.

The role requires 2–4 years in commercial development or real estate, with strong MS Office skills, budgeting and stakeholder communication. On-site work in Texas facilities will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Requires 2–4 years of related experience in commercial development or real estate practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Predevelopment Project Managers and Acquisitions teams with upfront diligence workstreams.
• Assist with preparation of predevelopments budgets and management of project cashflow forecasts.
• Create updates on development program initiatives & project status for executive reviews.
• Support due diligence on land banks and properties, coordinating with Corporate Real Estate, Connectivity, Power & Construction teams.
• Develop entitlement & permit schedules for new properties and data centers.
• Participate in design, entitlement, and permit activities for key projects.
• Ensure designs align with approved standards and identify improvements.
