Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager-Data Center for Suffolk/Chester, VA.

The role requires leading BIM integration with actual construction, coordinating with design teams and subcontractors, and guiding electrical/Data Center installation strategies on site. Ideal candidates will have a Data Center background, 7+ years of electrical field experience, and proficiency with BIM and project management tools.

Qualifications

• Data Center experience required.
• BS degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 7+ years Electrical Field experience (Master's or Journeyman preferred).
• Electrical Superintendent for Data Center or Industrial projects experience preferred.
• Experience with $20-$100M electrical projects preferred.
• Proficient understanding of 3D modeling systems (will not be modeling/drawing).
• Proficient in Blue Beam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, P6, and other industry standard software.
• Excellent computer, communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM coordination with the installation and project team.
• Coordinate with design team, contractors, suppliers, and client to resolve issues.
• Develop installation strategies and scope definitions for electrical/Data Center work.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain project records.
• Act as design coordination liaison on the project site.
