Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Senior Estimator-Preconstruction for our Critical Facilities-Data Centers division in Columbus, OH. You will oversee the preconstruction process from inception through start of construction, leading estimating activities and coordinating with clients, architects, and trade partners to win work.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management or related field and at least 10 years of building construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of Building Construction experience.
• Thorough understanding of drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong ability to develop client relationships and identify sales opportunities.
• Advanced project management skills and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead BU Estimating department and estimation functions during preconstruction.
• Oversee reimbursement of Estimating staff and G&A expenses.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and trade partners.
• Oversee and manage review of drawings and specs; inform senior management of risks.
• Develop lump sum bids and conduct market research for upcoming work.
• Coordinate GC/GR estimate development and cost trends.
• Lead value engineering and procurement collaboration; support launches.
