Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Power Systems Field Service Technician to commission, test, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical infrastructure in live data centers. This role emphasizes independent field work, sound technical decisions, and ensuring uptime and safety of critical power systems.

You will read electrical drawings, perform ATS and PDU testing, and document findings. The position is based in Atlanta, GA and involves on-site, field-based work with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience commissioning data center power systems.
• NFPA 70E certification or training preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring schedules.

Responsibilities

• Commission and test data center electrical systems (MDS, ATS, PDUs).
• Perform cold checks, power-on checks, and functional testing in manual/auto modes.
• Troubleshoot low-voltage distribution systems and interlocks.
• Plan work scope and sequencing independently in the field.
• Provide clear commissioning documentation and daily reports.
