Job summary

Interstates is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a Data Center construction project. You will work with project leadership, field crews, clients, and trade partners to keep work on schedule and support project controls.

Responsibilities include CPM scheduling, planning look-ahead, RFI tracking, and coordinating subcontracts, with travel up to 100% of the time and relocation across the US. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork drives the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and jobsite leadership in managerial and leadership functions on the project
• Support planning, coordination, and execution of work on a Data Center construction project
• Run project control systems for the benefit of the project team
• Develop, maintain, and communicate CPM schedules and milestone updates
• Support Last Planner / White Board crew scheduling and look-ahead planning
• Track RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and other project communications
• Act as a project analyst; assess project controls information and assist jobsite leadership
• Provide estimating take-offs and support for analysis, budgeting, and change orders
• Attend client meetings onsite and collaborate with trade contractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Prepare information for and participate in monthly project reviews
• Assist in procurement, expediting materials, and coordinating subcontracts
• Help coordinate documentation and communication related to commissioning, turnover, and project closeout
• Promote the Interstates safety culture daily

Education

Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Construction Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
