Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Manager of Physical Security Engineering to lead a team delivering security designs for Leased/Owned data centers across the AMER region.

You will set the technical direction, ensure design quality, and collaborate with AWS Security, Real Estate, Construction, and external consultants to deliver secure, cost-effective facilities. You will drive QA/QC, mentor engineers, and manage vendor relationships while aligning with CPTED, HVM, and PIDS standards across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 12+ years of physical security design experience incl. cameras, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter fencing, and related systems.
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams, including performance management.
• 3+ years of physical security design experience in data center or large-scale facilities.
• Experience managing external design consultants and vendor relationships at scale.
• Proven track record delivering multi-project programs on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of Physical Security Engineers across AMER Leased/Owned projects.
• Set technical direction and QA/QC standards for security designs (cameras, access control, intrusion, CPTED, HVM).
• Oversee pre-design, due diligence, and site assessment activities.
• Own programmatic initiatives, BOD/standards updates, and cross-discipline coordination.
• Travel 25–30% for site assessments and coordination meetings.
