Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA seeks a senior professional to lead physical security design for data center projects. You will create construction drawings, specify security components, and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.

You will drive design standards, evaluate costs and risks, and manage multiple projects while traveling as needed. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and strong commissioning experience are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
• 4+ years of commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.
• Experience in commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead designs (construction drawings and specifications) for physical security elements for DC projects.
• Collaborate with security teams to develop design standards and evaluate cost/risk/benefits.
• Communicate conceptual designs to internal stakeholders and external consultants.
• Maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for physical security elements.
• Create security design scope of work for design RFPs.
• Review and direct the work of physical security engineering design consultants.
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects and travel up to 25%.
