Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Data Center Manager in Frederick, MD leads a high-performing team to maintain global data center infrastructure and drive operational excellence as the company scales its data center network. The role emphasizes optimizing processes, building strong vendor relations, and ensuring safety and cost efficiency.

You will coordinate with internal teams, plan for capacity, and guide incident, problem, and change management while travel between sites as needed to support performance

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technical team management experience.
• 2+ years of data center experience.
• 4+ years of data center technology role and/or 4+ years of networking or computer hardware knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring the highest levels of performance.
• Maintain existing data centers and support bringing new data centers online.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures to exceed performance targets.
• Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
• Liaise with internal teams and management groups to align objectives.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards across all data centers.
