You will troubleshoot and repair hardware, support equipment deployments, maintain accurate asset records, and respond to incidents in a mission‑critical environment.

What you will do

  • Monitor servers, network devices, and facility alerts; triage issues and resolve hardware faults to meet time-to-detect and time-to-repair targets.
  • Diagnose and replace components, including drives, memory, power supplies, fans, network interface cards (NICs), and optics.
  • Complete break‑fix and smart‑hands requests and respond to on‑site incidents, including after hours when needed.
  • Receive, stage, rack, and stack servers, switches, and power distribution units (PDUs). Cable, label, power up, and hand off equipment to the provisioning team.
  • Maintain spare‑parts inventory, coordinate vendor returns and warranty claims through the return merchandise authorization (RMA) process, and support secure disposal of retired hardware.
  • Track equipment from receipt through decommissioning in the asset management system and conduct regular physical audits of racks and stock.
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years in a data center or a comparable mission‑critical environment, including hardware operations, industrial operations, or manufacturing operations.
  • Hands‑on experience with server, storage, and network hardware, including component‑level troubleshooting and repair.
  • Basic ability to connect to servers using SSH and read logs to support troubleshooting and repair verification.
  • Working knowledge of rack‑and‑stack procedures, power cabling, and copper and fiber cabling.
  • A careful, methodical approach, with consistent attention to procedures, work verification, and accurate labeling.
Preferred qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience supporting liquid‑cooled server racks and NVIDIA GPU‑based AI infrastructure, particularly B300‑based systems or GB300 NVL72 rack‑scale platforms, is a plus.
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, or troubleshooting hardware in AI‑focused or hyperscale data centers is a plus.
Physical requirements and work environment
  • Lift up to 50 lb (23 kg) unassisted and push, pull, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
  • Work in tight spaces, around loud equipment, and at height using ladders and approved safety gear.
  • Work in hot and cold aisles, spend extended periods on your feet, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection.
  • This is an on‑site role in an active data center that operates around the clock. Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • You will participate in an on‑call rotation for urgent hardware and facility events. Additional hours may be required during deployment surges or maintenance windows.
