Job summary

Limiting Factor Group (LFG) designs, builds and manages power infrastructure for compute systems and utility providers. The Facility Operations Lead will oversee the Moses Lake site, ensuring continuous power and cooling, leading the site team, and owning the maintenance program as construction finishes new buildings.

You will operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, fire protection and security systems, manage vendors and the site budget, and hire and train local staff.

Qualifications

• 7+ years operating data centers or critical facilities, incl. 2+ years leading a team.
• Working knowledge of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, chillers and building management systems.
• Experience writing and following formal operating procedures for live systems.
• Strong safety record and knowledge of electrical safety practices.
• Experience managing maintenance vendors and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Take handover of new buildings from the Construction Lead and take part in commissioning.
• Manage customer access, service vendors and the site operating budget.
• Hire and train site staff from the local area.

Job description

LFG designs, builds and manages power infrastructure for compute systems and utility providers. The Facility Operations Lead is responsible for the around-the-clock operation of our Moses Lake facility, so that customer equipment stays powered and cooled without interruption. You will lead the site team, own the maintenance program, and take new buildings into operation as construction finishes.

What you will do

Preferred qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical trade background, or military technical training such as the Navy nuclear program.
• Experience bringing a new facility from construction into operation.
• Data center operations certification, for example from Uptime Institute.

Additional Requirements

• Willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
• Must be willing to travel to other LFG locations
• On site at an operating data center with construction under way
• Available to respond to site emergencies at any hour
• Time in electrical and mechanical rooms and outdoors in all weather
• Protective equipment; work around high‑voltage equipment and loud machinery

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $165,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at LFG.
