Job summary

CoreSite, LLC seeks a motivated Data Center Technician Internship under the DoD SkillBridge program in the Chicago area. The role provides hands-on exposure to data center operations, including electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems, with mentorship from senior staff.

You will participate in day-to-day facilities operations, perform cable terminations, assist with maintenance, and learn CMMS and incident management processes essential to delivering secure, reliable data center

Qualifications

• Must be an active-duty US military transitioning out of the military.
• High school diploma or GED required, 2–5 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain data center facilities systems including electrical, mechanical, and building monitoring.
• Assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure and cabling.
• Support preventive maintenance and incident response to ensure reliability and safety.
• Document procedures, follow CoreSite operational guidelines, and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
