Job summary

CoreSite is offering a Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Internship in Reston, VA. The Data Center Technician intern will support electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications systems, participate in operator rounds, and assist with maintenance and cable projects to ensure data center reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with HVAC, power distribution, fire life safety, and security systems, while gaining exposure to CMMS and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be an active-duty US Military personnel transitioning out of the military.
• High school diploma or GED, with 2–5 years related experience.
• Willingness to complete CoreSite Data Center Operations Qualification Program.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Complete CoreSite’s Data Center Operations Qualification Program.
• Support mechanical, electrical, and telecom infrastructure maintenance.
• Assist with cable termination, testing, and installations.
• Provide day-to-day customer service and incident follow-up.
