Google Inc. seeks an Operations Technician for the Hardware Operations team in Atlanta to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain servers and components.

You will work on networks, routers, switches and related protocols, participate in small projects, and handle physical rack installation in a cutting-edge data center environment. The role emphasizes collaboration, hands-on hardware work, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic infrastructure setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting one of the following: operating systems, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment.
• Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays and shift-based schedules.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Report issues and follow procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose straightforward issues.
• Maintain security and integrity of data per Google security standards.
• Disassemble equipment at end-of-life with team support.
• Repair and preventative maintenance on equipment and infrastructure.
