Job summary

Amazon’s Data Center Engineering Operations team seeks an Engineering Operations Technician to monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and life-safety equipment.

You will perform rounds, troubleshoot events, support change management, coordinate with contractors, and adapt to rotating shifts and on-call rotations at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and repair of equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Coordinate with on-site contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors.
