Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) to support 24/7 data center infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems.

You will perform routine rounds, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and security across AWS data centers. The role requires lifting, working at heights, and non-standard hours, with potential security clearance requirements and on-site shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• US government security clearance of Top Secret or higher, or 1+ years of relevant technical position experience.
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical data center equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform preventive maintenance (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs).
• Supervise contractors and manage building workflows.
