Job summary

Google is seeking an experienced Hardware Operations Manager to lead a Data Center Technician team responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining server hardware and related systems. You will oversee complex installations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive safe, reliable operation of critical infrastructure in a large-scale environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
5 years of experience managing technical, vendor, contract management, or delivery teams.
Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays and shift-based schedules.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of individuals, setting and communicating priorities that support goals and provide coaching.
Partner with teams to meet goals and manage facility activities and strategies.
Maintain, monitor, and execute security and operational procedures and analyze trends for improvements.
Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, or infrastructure.
Support and contribute to Environmental Health and Safety and compliance programs with other teams.
