Job summary

Google seeks a Hardware Operations Manager to lead a team of Data Center Technicians responsible for installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining server hardware and software. The role oversees complex installations, networks, and scalable infrastructure across Google’s data centers, ensuring safety and reliability in a global computing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
5 years managing technical, vendor, contract management, or delivery teams.
Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Responsibilities

Foster a collaborative team environment and effectively communicate business priorities.
Oversee the day-to-day management of teams within data center operations, work together to identify and resolve problems, and create solutions for our global computing and network architecture.
Demonstrate the ability to implement and drive the safety culture at the site.
Manage the implementation of projects within the team and ensure data center-related priorities are consistent with company objectives.
