Job summary

Scientific Games is seeking an Operations and Systems Manager to oversee on-site technical support for the Data Center and Lottery systems. You will lead the Systems Support Team, coordinate software releases, and ensure high-performance production environments.

The role entails directing IT operations, interfacing with corporate software development, and ensuring project delivery meets contractual requirements. Strong leadership and communication across management levels are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields; and/or 5 years of related work experience.
• On Call 24/7 for Operational support.
• Preferred experience with UNIX, LINUX, Windows Servers, SQL Server and Crystal Reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Ability to cultivate positive working relationships across teams.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-line system performance and report anomalies to Management and Support Teams.
• Provide first tier support for incidents and coordinate resolution.
• Interface with Operations and Systems to keep test and production systems in sync.
• Fill in for Systems team roles for support/testing/processing.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing for new or improved software.
• Oversee testing and implementation of software releases.
• Collaborate with Software Development to define software enhancements.
• Plan and conduct testing and deployment of releases.
• Create and maintain operational procedures and deployment documentation.
• Hire, discipline and terminate staff per corporate guidelines.
• Review work of junior managers and staff.
• Schedule software releases and manage change requests.
