Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Critical Environments Operator II in San Antonio to join a 24/7 data center operations team. You will perform Level 1 troubleshooting on Windows servers, assist with cabinet/cage setups, and coordinate with contractors for safe, efficient maintenance.

The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and multi-tasking skills, with 3–5 years in data center operations and familiarity with CMMS and ITIL concepts. On-call hours may be required for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Entry-level to mid-level data center technician background preferred.
• 3–5 years in Tier 2–4 data center operations or similar.
• Familiarity with Work Order Control procedures and CMMS.
• Experience managing subcontractors and vendor contracts.
• Experience with capacity planning and reporting.
• Proficient with Windows server basics and network concepts.
• Able to respond to equipment alarms and stabilize operations.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 response for Windows servers; troubleshoot and reboot as needed.
• Perform cabinet/cage setup, cross-connects, and cable tests.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; ensure safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Respond to alarms with priority to preserve critical load and minimize damage.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and equipment evaluations; support project work.
• Maintain accurate work orders and documentation in CMMS.
