Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a skilled data center technician to support 24/7 operations and maintenance across facilities. You will work under the Sr Facility Manager to ensure reliability of critical loads, manage CMMS work orders, and coordinate with contractors for safe project execution.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of Tier 2–4 data center experience, electrical/HVAC knowledge, and strong PC skills. The role requires 12-hour shifts, on-call duties, and flexibility for extended hours during

Qualifications

Entry level skills in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R disciplines.
Associate degree or HVAC/R training pursued or equivalent experience.
3–5 years in Tier 2–4 Data Centers or related Operations & Maintenance roles.
Familiarity with Work Order Control procedures and CMMS.
Experience managing subcontractors and vendors; proficient with Word/Excel; Visio/AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain data center operations and respond to alarms prioritizing critical load preservation.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance and project work.
Ensure safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and safe access for on-site personnel.
Review and implement CMMS work orders, labor hours, and preventative maintenance.
Support root cause analysis and equipment evaluations as needed.
