Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead the on-site engineering team responsible for preventive maintenance, routine operations, and emergency repairs in mission-critical environments.

The role requires overseeing UPS, chillers, and generators, ensuring SLA compliance, and managing client relationships. You will drive RAMS, documentation, and adherence to CBRE standards while guiding staff and maintaining operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven understanding of data center infrastructure including HVAC/cooling, electrical distribution, backup generators, and UPS.
• Experience in staffing, team selection, training, performance mentoring, and staff retention.
• Ability to guide complex technical information clearly and handle high-pressure infrastructure problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision, training, and development for facility engineers and technicians.
• Oversee configuration management, work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to meet MSAs and SLAs.
• Serve as the primary on-site operational contact for the client and collaborate with external stakeholders.
• Verify facility infrastructure installations (UPS, chillers, generators) and oversee IT power deployments and relocations.
• Author RAMS and risk mitigations for maintenance activities and obtain approvals.
• Oversee daily data hall cleanliness, environmental controls, and space audits for compliance.
• Act as escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents and communicate status to management.
• Maintain documentation and ensure deployments comply with internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.
• Model CBRE RISE values and influence stakeholders to maintain high operational efficiency.
