Job summary

Google's Hardware Operations team manages the state-of-the-art data center infrastructure powering our search technology. As a Hardware Operations Manager, you will lead a team of Data Center Technicians responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and related components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, OS, or hardware.
• 5 years of experience managing technical/vendor/contract/delivery teams.
• Ability to work non-standard hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Data Center Technicians overseeing hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Manage installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of server hardware and software.
• Coordinate networks and network components configuration.
• Lead small project teams on installations and contingency planning.
• Ensure safety, security, and operational procedures across data centers.
