Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Team Leader in New York to guide specialized technical operations. You will lead engineering teams, manage vendor networks, and uphold uptime and operational standards in critical environments.

The role requires hands-on data center experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams while maintaining CBRE’s RISE values and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 4–5 years of related experience.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and financial calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect engineering staff work; ensure equipment and space are in prime condition.
• Review service request summaries and address recurring issues.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for building systems.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to meet design specs and client requirements.
• Estimate time/materials for repairs; maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Assist team with complex repairs, emergencies, and preventive maintenance.
• Apply advanced knowledge to improve methods and achieve department goals.
• Coach others and build cross-discipline knowledge within the team.
• Lead by example and influence stakeholders to align with CBRE RISE values.
• Contribute to new processes and standards to support operational objectives.
