Job summary

Backblaze provides reliable storage solutions and is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day infrastructure, personnel, and vendor relationships across data center sites. The role collaborates with engineering, security, finance, and operations to align infrastructure priorities with company goals and uphold uptime, security, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years in data center operations, IT, or infrastructure management.
5+ years in a supervisory or management role overseeing technical teams.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day management of data center infrastructure, personnel, and vendor relationships.
Define and manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resources.
Maintain Business Continuity Plans, DRP, and incident response protocols.
Oversee maintenance programs for servers, storage, and networking hardware.
Track KPIs, produce dashboards, and translate metrics for leadership.
Manage asset registers and collaborate on procurement and lifecycle disposal.
