Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Global Support Engineer to drive operational excellence across Data Center Operations. The role involves ownership of sites, performance monitoring, and collaboration with global teams to enhance reliability and efficiency.

The position requires proactive problem solving, incident management, and the ability to implement automation across monitoring tools and processes. Travel to multiple Oracle locations may be required to support builds and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center operations and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong background in performance monitoring and process improvement.
• Familiarity with incident management and root cause analysis.
• Ability to design and implement automation and monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own operational responsibility for one or more data center sites.
• Lead performance trend analysis across capacity, temperature, availability, and facility health.
• Monitor data center health (power, cooling, security, environment) and drive reliability improvements.
• Lead on-site resources through incident resolution with clear communication.
• Oversee escalated technical issues, triage, resolution tracking, and follow-through.
• Implement and improve automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools.
• Document issues, processes, and solutions, maintaining a current knowledge base.
• Prepare for and execute incident or crisis management protocols.
• Lead data center expansion and site build collaborations.
• Oversee rack deployments and physical infrastructure upgrades.
