CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Data Center Operations Manager in Columbia, SC to oversee daily operations and maintenance of government data center facilities. You will manage 24/7 operations, coordinate upgrades, and enforce policies to ensure secure, compliant performance.

Qualifications include 5+ years in data center ops, a IT/CS degree or advanced certifications, and strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with vendors and internal

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; OR advanced certifications preferred.
• Experience with federal/government data center requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 24/7 operation and security of data centers.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of data center infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, and enforce data center policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to support business objectives.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., FISMA/NIST).
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of data center operations.
