Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Boardman, OR is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities and equipment, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and related infrastructure.

You will perform daily rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, assist in troubleshooting incidents, and support PMs, with shifts up to 12 hours and possible travel between sites. Relocation stipend may be provided; GovCloud constraints apply for federal contracts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years electrical or mechanical experience in data centers or facilities.
• 1+ years of data center or mission-critical facilities experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors, ensuring work follows procedures.
