Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer I to join our Denver data center operations team. You will monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, fire protection and telecom systems, ensuring uptime and compliance with safety standards.

Relocation assistance and sign-on bonuses are available for qualifying candidates. The role includes day shift responsibilities and requires 2+ years in data center operations with strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes.

Qualifications

• Firm understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.
• Experience with fiber optics and cabling infrastructure.
• Familiarity with NEC/NFPA codes and building codes related to fire life safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems (Electrical, Mechanical, Communications).
• Track and trend operational characteristics and provide feedback to management.
• Coordinate with contractors for system expansions, corrections, and upgrades.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule with senior technicians.
