Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer I to support the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mission-critical data center systems. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and high availability, with collaboration across technicians and vendors.

The candidate will interact with electrical distribution, HVAC, fire/life safety, and telecom systems while maintaining documentation and responding to incidents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems preferred.
• Experience in data center or critical facilities environment a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and safety knowledge.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-availability setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical, mechanical, cooling, telecommunications, and life safety systems.
• Assist in maintaining operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of the data center.
• Perform routine facility inspections, respond to alarms, and document findings.
• Track and trend system performance using CMMS to manage maintenance activities.
• Support electrical distribution systems including generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, PDUs, transformers, and customer power infrastructure.
