Job summary

CyrusOne is a leading global data center provider seeking a qualified Data Center Operations & Maintenance Technician. This role supports the Sr Facility Manager in a 24/7/365 data center environment, ensuring reliable power, cooling and safety for mission-critical systems.

You will use CMMS to track work, coordinate with contractors, respond to alarms, perform safe equipment changes, and uphold all company and safety policies. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Entry-level skills in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R disciplines.
• 3–5 years of data center/O&M experience or related.
• Familiarity with Work Order Control procedures and CMMS.
• Experience with subcontractor and vendor contract management.
• Experience with KPIs and capacity planning/reporting.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment via GUIs and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center operations and 24/7/365 coverage under the Sr. Facility Manager.
• Use CMMS to track preventive maintenance, work orders, and tickets.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance and projects.
• Respond to building alarms prioritizing critical load preservation.
• Perform equipment modifications safely (Lockout/Tagout) and safe-work setup.
• Ensure compliance with company, government and safety policies.
