Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Data Center Assistant in Phoenix, AZ to support Data Center Sites Service Technicians with day-to-day coordination and execution of activities within Data Center Operations.

The role involves conducting inventories, coordinating receiving/shipping, staging equipment, escorting vendors, and providing general support to the Sites Services team while adhering to safety and security protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of IT and computing equipment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven and high proficiency of time management.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular physical inventories of IT equipment within the data center, including servers, storage, networking devices, and peripherals.
• Coordinate and execute the receiving and shipping of IT equipment, including packaging, labeling, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Manage the staging and inventory of incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Escort and assist vendors within the data center, ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols.
• Provide general support to the data center operations team, including moves, adds, and changes as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the data center.
• Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
• Adhere to all data center security and safety procedures.
