Job summary

STN, Inc. is seeking a motivated Junior Network Administrator to join our data center operations team in Marshfield, MO. This role involves hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of our network environment.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience, a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, and comfort in a physical data center environment. The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, depending on experience, and a growth-driven culture.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a data center, NOC, or network role.
• Solid understanding of OSI model fundamentals, Ethernet, and VLANs.
• Comfort working in a data center environment.
• Experience with structured cabling, patch work, and reading diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Rack, stack, and cable network equipment following data center standards.
• Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling.
• Maintain accurate physical layer documentation.
• Monitor network hardware health and escalate anomalies.

Skills

Hands-on experience in a data center

Understanding of OSI model fundamentals

Basic IP networking

Structured cabling and patch work

Education

CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent certification (or in progress)

Tools

Cisco/Arista/Cumulus CLI

Fiber optic testing tools (OTDR, VFL)

DCIM or ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Nlyte)
